When I hear this, I see myself driving on a warm summer night through a city. I see myself on a beach with the sunset, smoking a joint, surrounded by a few cool people that I love. I see myself skating with headphones down a street late at night with friends, the warm summer air, the streetlights, the faint smell of fire wood from a barbecue still in the air., a sense of adventure … it feels like 80s. And I absolutely love it. I’m 22 but when I hear this I feel like a kid again. I want to be a teenager again, staying out late and making memories with friends.

This video here got me through my entire high school years. I would listen to it almost every day, and I even got it on my phone somehow. This video started my vaporwave music journey that’s still going on 6 years later. It feels good to come back to it as an adult.

This is one of a few mixes I found to help with my HS depression. Going through my older adds of my playlist is a trip, glad to see its still up and not deleted or copyright stuck like 90% of my original adds. Side note: Its cool to track what im listening to throughout the years just by looking at a playlist i just continually add to.
